Constitution of India

This is election time. This is the time for us to do a Great work (Voting) to our country. Normally we learn things before doing any work. Let’s learn about Indian constituency and parliament system by knowing few terms.

Democratic Country

We know India is a big Democratic Country in the World. Known as Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic.

Republic

The Republic is governed in terms of the Constitution of India. Came into force on 26th January, 1950

Constitution of India

The Constitution provides for a Parliamentary form of government
The constitutional head of the Executive of the Union is the President.

Parliament

The council of the Parliament of the Union consists of the
  • President and
  • Two Houses
      • Council of States (Rajya Sabha)
      • House of the People (Lok Sabha).
Lok Sabha
It composed of representatives of people chosen by direct election.
Elected by People by our electoral system Universal Adult Suffrage.
